The Club plays bowls outdoors on its Green at Coronation Recreation Ground between the end of April and the end of September. Members may use the Green at any time, provided the rink has not been booked in the 'Rink book' (diary),
which can be found in the clubhouse, and providing no special events or inter
club matches are taking place. If you wish to book a rink for any purpose this should be done by means of this book. Events listed in the Club's fixture list and league matches have absolute priority.
For novice members, coaching can be arranged by request to a Committee Member.
Instruction for beginners is given by a Surrey C.B.A. level 2 coach. We have a Club roll-up
on Tuesday evenings, when visitors
wanting to try the sport can expect a warm welcome.
Unless otherwise stated, the dress on the outdoor green is for white above the waist and grey below (apart from shoes). This applies during roll-ups as well as matches. This rule is waived for novice members in the first few weeks of visiting the club.
White below the waist is required for some matches, but when this applies it is specified on the team list and in the fixture card.
Various club competitions are run each year. The draw for each competition is made in early May, with a finals day in late August.
Members may also enter for the Surrey competitions, run under the auspices of SCBA.
